Three surprises awaited me when I came home from work yesterday.
A final day lily, when I thought they were all gone.
A cosmos, buried in some dahlias. This was a volunteer - I had grown cosmos last year.
And, a tall phlox blooming. The plant was ailing, and I never expected it to bloom. I had given up on it.
Nature has taught me a lesson today.
Welcome! I hope I bring a spot of calm and happiness into these uncertain times. I blog about flowers, gardening, my photography adventures, the importance of chocolate in a well lived life, or anything else on my mind.

Sweet and beautiful surprises!
ReplyDeleteNice surprises.
ReplyDeleteCosmos and phlox grow in cooler climes in India too. I love the variety of colours that phlox (is there a plural?) have.
